Is this piece for men or women?
Our clothing is genderless. Like art, we recommend that you wear what moves you. Wear what gives you the confidence to be your most authentic, genuine self. For added convenience, every garment description provides sizing using the typical men's and women's American rubric of XXS- 3X.
We love sourcing vintage pieces that carry evidence of being lived in and loved. Expect your piece to have "love kisses" aka small imperfections, like fraying, tiny holes, and general signs of wear.
Our pieces can be twenty years old, sometimes even older. And with your love and care, they can continue to be dope for years to come. Treat your piece like a cool auntie- down to hang out for a fun time but maybe not every day.
Consider using steam and or chemical free dry cleaning to refresh your pieces as needed. Wool items should be stored with lavender or cedar sachets to avoid moth holes.
Gold trims and embroidery will naturally lift a bit over time. To refresh the bond, set iron to highest heat and steam settings. Cover your piece with a clean towel, and move the iron over said towel for about a minute. Lift the iron and allow the embroidery to cool for five minutes. Repeat this process until bonding is reestablished.
Occasionally vintage silk and rayon linings don't like to be pricked with sewing machines or hand needle work. When this happens, we use fabric glue for custom add-ons. Any hardness felt in these fabrics will soften over time.
Real talk, vintage sizing is a dub guys. We use fit models to give our best approximation on how a piece will truly fit. Don't be surprised if your tag reads size 16 but fits like a 4. Rule number one: if it looks good on you, it's your size.
Vintage pieces often have severely faded tags or no tags at all. We use all available resources to determine the presence of common allergens and animal materials (e.g., wool, mohair, fur, leather, etc.). If these materials are a concern for you, please rely on your own best judgement before purchasing.
Thanks to the Innanets, we do a pretty thorough job of verifying the pedigree of all of our finds, but the vintage world is not a perfect science, so we make no guarantees. Just scouts honor we tried our best. We stan for fellow vintage wearers who fall in love with the vibe and art of a piece rather than brand alone.
We cover domestic freight when you spend $100. Anything under, we charge a flat $8 for standard and $15 for expedited shipping. For the rest of the world, we charge market shipping rates.
